Hi everyone
Can anyone please recommend a Soweto and Apartheid Museum tour? I have emailed a couple but have had no replies. I will only have 1 1/2 days in Johannesburg so would prefer to book in advance. Also prefer to be picked up from my hostel.
Thanks in advance!

I haven't used this company myself but I've seen a regular poster on TripAdvisor recommend them a few times: http://thetouristsfriend.com/tours/day-tours-jhb/jhb-apartheid-soweto/

Thank you very much for replying Lidia, but the company you mention seems rather expensive. The Soweto/Apartheid tours seem to vary enormously, from 570Zar to 1,900Zar! And when they don't reply to emails its hard to know what you are getting for your money!
I will continue to research, but if anyone else has recommendations please help!!
Thanks again Lidia.

Hi,

Have you tried any of these:

Felleng Tours - they get excellent reviews
Spurwing
Atamela Tours
Viator Full day Johannesburg tour
Ekala Tours

I tried to look for reputable companies that seem to offer what you want and are not too expensive. I would suggest reading reviews about each tour to try and get an idea of what you will see and if you think you will enjoy it. Just make sure what is included in the price of each e.g, hotel pickup, entrance fees, lunch etc.

Something went wrong with the Viator tour link: https://www.viator.com/tours/Johannesburg/Full-Day-Soweto-Apartheid-Museum-and-Lunch/d314-30052P3
and the Ekala one: http://ekalatours.com/johannesburg-tour/

Thank you so much Lidia! I have already looked at some of them - but still a few to go! I was hoping for recommendations from people who had actually been on the tour............still waiting!
Thanks again!

You're welcome! TripAdvisor is a great place to look for reviews, I'm almost certain you will have more luck asking and browsing there if you can't find an answer on here.
