Hi,

I plan on going to South Africa for 6 months from 5th Feb 2008 - 4th August 2008. I then plan to come home for the month of August and go back out again in September for 90 further days (3 months). I am aware an extension is required for the 6 months but are there any requirements when coming out again for the further 90 days or do i just go back on the normal tourist visa that is given to all UK visitors? Will imigration require something further?

Look forward to your reply.

If you leave SA and return and your original visa is still good they will not give you more time, you only have what remains on the original visa. You must be out of the country when your visa expires to get more time upon re-entry.

Hi

Thanks for th reply. Yeah, I plan to go home for around a month and then go out again on a new 90 day visa (not the same one I will go out with in February). I guess that is ok or are there restrictions on this i.e. amount of time I am home before I go out again.

Thanks

Souldn't be a problem, all SA immigration is computerized so is you kept entering over and over again you might have a problem but not with two times in a year.

Hi mad_paddler,
I have a 3 month extention on my south africa tourist visa. My flight back to the uk is about 4 days before the visa expires. Do you know if this will affect my 90 days when I re-enter about 1 month later?
Thanks v much
