One night in Kruger is not worth all the travelling. Either stay at least 2-3 nights or forget it and take PNP's suggestions.
Also forget sun city unless you want to see Las Vegas in Africa
Stay in Cape Town for the first 5 days, then fly up to Kruger Park for the last 5. Forget about the rest

Dear all,
Based on all your help, I have revised my plan yet again.
Please review.
Thanks.
28 Dec - 2 Jan - CT (including 2 Jan Carnival, Kalk bay, Cape of Good Hope)
3 Jan - 5 Jan - Garden route to P. Eliz (stop at Widerness, De Hoop)
6 Jan - 7 Jan - Nelspruit / Kruger
8 Jan - 9 Jan - Mbabane (including Incwala; when's the exact dates??)
10 Jan - 12 Jan (noon) - Jo'Burg (including Soweto, maybe Sun City??)
2 nights in Kruger is still too little. Cut one night from Jhb. Forget Sun City
2 nights on Garden Route is too little. This gives you no time to enjoy anything. Just drive. Cut it out

Hi,
Your plan will mean a lot of driving with very little travel satisfaction IMO. CT to PE is a full 8-9 hour drive (that's without fuel or rest stops, and with optimum traffic conditions which is totally unrealistic for January when the whole country seems to descend on the Garden Route... which is now recovering from flood damage.)
If you go via De Hoop, that takes you way off the direct route (yes it's great to get off the beaten tourist track, but in your case you don't have time for such luxuries!) and adds at least a couple of hours driving to a very tight schedule.
And how will you get from PE to Swaziland?
Again, as previous posters have said, one night in Kruger is just not worth the time invested in getting there...

I'll be in Cape Town myself Dec 28 - Jan 10 and for New Year's accomodations are scarce to none. Hopefully you have reservations already.
Frankly I'd do 4 - 5 days in Cape Town and 4 - 5 days inside Kruger, flying between.

I plan to fly from PE to Nelspruit.
Drive from Kruger to Mbabane.
Drive from Mbabane to Jo'burg.
I want to go to Swaziland becos of the Incwala ceremony. Is it pointless?
The exact dates are not released yet, are they?
Also, I would like to know if the money changer in South Africa and Swaziland accept Singapore Dollar (SGD).
I posted this in another post, but no response.
Thanks.
