I revised the itinery.

CT - 3 days
Gardeb route 2 days
Fly to Swaziland
Drive to Kruger
Drive to Jo'burg

This is a real whirlwind trip, I think your head will be spinning by the end of it! My gut feel would be to tell you to extend your time or reduce your ambitions!

If you are intent on covering this amount of ground in such a short time -- as of course you are perfectly entitled to :o) -- try to add a further day to your Garden Route section (maybe by flying from Kruger to Jhb? You don't say which part of Kruger, but I presume the southern part)

I just realised from the guidebooks that port eliz do not fly to swaziland. :(

If I just concentrate on capetown and garden in 10 days, exclud Jo'berg and the rest, I will be missing out a lot right? Like almost half of the trip?

Is this Jan 2008? If it is, then you would have a difficult time getting accommodation. Most of SA is also on holiday.

I'm almost certain that it would be too late for the Kruger.

4 Jan to 6 Jan - Garden route to Port Eliz

Fly to Durban on 6 Jan morning

7 Jan (noon) to 8 Jan - Durban
9 Jan to 10 Jan - Swaziland (includ Incwala; btw, when are the exact dates)
11 Jan - Kruger
12 Jan - Sun City
13 Jan to 14 Jan (noon) - Jo'berg

You're trying to cover too much in a very short period of time.

The Garden Route is very overrated in my opinion...

If you are short on time and want to do the garden route, why not substitute Addo Elephant Park ('big 5' park near PE - actually, they'll claim 'big 7'!) for Kruger? It'd cut out a hell of a lot of travelling and might enable you to fit in most of your other destinations . . . Or do Pilanesberg NP (also big 5) near Sun City instead of Kruger. P.S. why Sun City?
