Overnight trip from Durban to Drakensberg and possibly Lesotho

Hi Guys!
We are planning to be in RSA in the beginning of November. So the first questions is - weather it has any sense to go see the Drakensberg mountains? I am afraid of the possible downpour of rain...
As we do not want to rent a car I'd like to ask you to recommend a trusted place in Durban that organizes safe trips to Draknseberg and possibly Lesotho. We do not have much time, so we can only spare 2 days for that. I imagine there are some overnight trips. Thanks in advance for any piece of advice.
