Hostels or cheap B&B at George

don't know about b&bs, but there are no hostels in George... What are you up to in George?

No wonder I couldn't find any! lol
George is where I was hoping to pick up a hire car to then go to Oudtshoorn then up the coast to PE.
I want to go up the the ostrich farm and then to meerkat magic (will need a night over in Oudtshoorn as well).

Well I guess I could go further up to Wilderness then back track a little. I have found a couple of hostels there.

some of the bp in Oudtshoorn have a shuttle service to and from George...

I need to pick the car up in either George or Wilderness, so I'll have the hire car while in Oudtshoorn.

I'll check out the hostels in Wilderness and Oudtshoorn.

I would chose Wilderness over George anytime...it is on the ocean and has more activities. Can't think of much of interest in George. Even if you pick up the car in George, Wilderness is only about 15 mins down the road from George. Try the Beach House in Wilderness.

Martin...Not determine, but wasn't sure how far Wilderness was from George. This is where I will most likely pick up a hire car.

Helen of troy - Now that you have cleared up the distance thing with george and Wilderness, I will stay at Wilderness.
I had already come across the Beach House, it looks like the place! I just wasn't sure how much back tracking I would have been doing.
