Hi all

does anyone know off/have experience with the City Slicker hop-on hop-off service within joburg... i came across it through google, but can't find an website or info on where i could catch it, rates etc.

Im interested in getting from the intl airport to the aparthied museum, and then from the museum to sandton...
i dont want to spend the ridiculous amounts needed to take private taxis everywhere... what are my options?? i will be carying a backpack, which makes me a bit vulnerable...

is it possible to take the metro bus-- anyone know which routes service the museum...?

I have read about the City Slicker, but I have a feeling it was discontinued some time ago. In any case its route was basically north-south starting at what used to be the Waterfront in Randburg and heading down through the down town areas. As far as I know it did not go anywhere near the airport.
I would suggest you take the Magic Bus from the airport to Sandton (they do have a web-site), leave your back pack at your destination in Sandton and then find a way of getting to the Apartheid Museum (right next to Gold Reef City and across the road from the Gold Reef Casino). Allow at least 3 hours for your visit to the Apartheid Museum.
Public transport in Johannesburg is not easy. You may well have to resort to using taxis.
Enjoy your stay.
