Does anybody know if you can rent eating and cooking utensils at Tamboti camp in Kruger, or is it required to bring your own? Thanks

I've just been reading reports on Tamboti in the sanparks site. It sounds like a great camp. Lots of action in the vicinity.
As for your quesion, I read in one of the posts that there aren't utensils in the basic tents, but the up-market ones "have their own ablutions, kitchen and are fully equipped for eating."
You might be able to rent a utensil box from Orpen.
hm, I am sure that the folks at the SANParks Forum know if you can/where you can rent eating and cooking utensils at Tamboti camp...

You bring your own. But there is a braai (BBQ) at each tent. In the standard tents (I have not stayed in the upmarket ones) there is a fridge and a fan and either two or four beds and that is it. There is no restaurant and the shop at Orpen (about 2kms from Tamboti) is small, but you should be able to buy enough food there to avoid having to starve. There is no office at Tamboti - you check in at Orpen.
Tamboti has a lovely atmosphere and one is very private with bushes separating you from the next door tents. It is lovely staying there.
