Hi there,

on my short trip from Durban to Capetown I'd like to stop for 2 days in one of those two places at the Wild Coast but I'm having difficulties in deciding which one. At first I thought I'd stop in Coffee Bay but now I read that its sort of scruffy and I thought Chintsa could be a good alternative.

I just want to relax after hiking in the Drakensberg, go for a swim (it that possible in either of those places??) and do a few short hikes.

Would be great if you could give me your opinion on those places.

Cheers

I haven't been, but I've heard good things about Chintsa. What route are you taking to Cape Town? I have some good suggestions along the Garden Route and in wine country if you go that way!

I haven't been to Cintsa so can't comment, though I've heard good things too. Coffee Bay has a beach, as well as the nearby Hole in the Wall. It is a bit grimy though and can get overrun by backpackers depending on your luck. If you want relaxation, maybe try the nearby Mdumbi, Wild Lubanzi or - my personal favourite - Bulungula.
