Hi there,

in Nov I will make a quick trip to SA to show my boyfriend where I used to live and that he can get a first impression what South Africa is about. So the plan was to do some wild live at the "Timbavati Safari Lodge" before flying back home. But now the place is already booked out. Can anybody recommend a similar and nice place for safari witch is not too expensive (max. R500) and where they offer activities like bush walks, horse safari, maybe a drive to a rehab center for wild animals and so on? The web is full of places but don't know witch to choose and would like to have some personal advice.

Thanks already for your help

Accommodation in the Kruger Park more or less fits your budget. Have a look at www.Sanparks.org</a>. I would do a self-drive safari and stay (amongst others) at Satara for a couple of nights and so a sunset drive and a morning bush walk from there.
When you leave Kruger you could drive to Moholoholo rehabilitation Centre (www.moholoholo.co.za</a>) and stay there for a night or two.
