Hi

I am travelling to Volcano National Park in November. I am looking to stay at the Mountain Gorilla View Lodge. Does anyone have any feedback on this place? Or any other recommendations for places to base yourself for trekking in the park? If you stay here rather than Ruhengeri is it still necessary to organise transport to the start of the trek?

If anyone is around and doing trekking in the park on the 25th and 26th and would like to share transport costs please let me know.....

Thanks

We stayed at Virunga Hotel in Ruhengeri and were happy there, although of course had to schedule transport (which is easy to do). don't know about places closer to the park. Good luck and enjoy!

MGVL reasonably new, local style (roundavels bungalows), mid range accommodation in the Park. You will still need transport for the trek.

Sarah 1968, what does MGVL stand for? how much was it and did you book online before arrival or phone through.

Can the place you stay help with transport to start of trek and are there any going rates so its not to high or too low what we pay?

anyone who is trekking on 8th November for the gorillas and wants to share cost of transport for trek- get in touch here before 27th oct 2010...:o)

thanks all
