According to website of the Consulate General of Rwanda for Australia, travellers on Australian passports need to obtain an "Entry Facility letter" which they present to authorities on arrival in Rwanda in order to get a visa.

Has anyone obtained one of these letters recently and can tell me if they have a limited period of validity? I will be leaving Australia in March but won't arrive in Rwanda until around 4 months later so I'm wondering if I can get the letter before I leave or should wait until closer to my arrival date in Rwanda. I will be on the road so I assume it won't be easy to get access to internet, printers etc after I leave.

I have tried contacting the Consulate General and Embassy with no success.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi JuliaGulia,

"if they have a limited period of validity?"</strong>

The length you've applied "online" and intend to stay

"should wait until closer to my arrival date in Rwanda"</strong>

Yup

"I will be on the road so I assume it won't be easy to get access to internet, printers etc after I leave."</strong>

even if this sounds true they don't care

I filled the online formula in an internet cafe in Kisoro in uganda, and a few hours later I got the email. I printed the email and went to the border. Simple as that.

Finding a computer with internet access quite easy in that part of Africa. Dont Worry :)
