Hi all. I've been told that in order to be able to board a flight to Rwanda (with a UK passport), some sort of online pre-registration needs to happen. I've scoured Google but can find no info about this. Does anyone have any experience with having to do online registration to gain entry into Rwanda?

Thanks in advance....

This is what you're referring to - nothing to do with entry into Rwanda per se:

The UK government now require ALL travellers entering & departing the UK to provide FULL passport information. When entering certain other countries, their governments require this information too.

The information required is: APIS - Advance Passenger Information System
· Travellers Date of Birth:
· Nationality of the passport being taken:
(If passport is British it must state Citizen)
· Country the passport was issued in:
· Passport number that you will present at check-in:
· Date issued:
· Date of expiry:
· Country of travellers residence:

You will be asked to do it when checking in online.

UK passport holders do not need a visa, you just fill in the landing card on arrival at Kigali and get your passport stamped by immigration - you do need a visa:

In view of the bilateral agreements, the Nationals of the following Countries may visit Rwanda without visa for a period up to 90 days: USA, Germany, Canada, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Uganda, Mauritius, South Africa, Kenya, Great Britain, Sweden, Singapore, Hong Kong and Burundi.

Many thanks! How do I submit the APIS? My ticket isn't one that I will check in online with, so can't quite figure out how to submit this information.

Thanks again.....

You'll just have to do it when you check in at the airport I'd imagine.
