Hi! Not sure if this has been discussed before but I am having internet problems and it is taking forever to search through these forums (so I apologize for repeating this topic.)

I will be arriving in Kigali on Monday Sept 27th and need transport to go from Kigali to Gisenyi. I did some research on private car/driver but it is too expensive for me (all the price quotes were for over $250!) It's my first time in Rwanda and I wasn't sure whether there will be plenty taxi drivers at the airport upon arrival or not.

Also, does anyone know the bus or matatu schedule from Kigali to Gisenyi? I believe it is a 3 hour drive. Is it easy to go from the airport to the bus station?

Many thanks in advance!

The Belvedere Bus Line is super convenient, is located right in the heart of Kigali (across from the Union Trade Center) and they operate bus service in comfortable, air conditioned buses right in the main strip in Gisenyi. The price is approximately $10 to $15 I believe and the trip does take about three hours thru the rolling green hills of Rwanda. Could not be easier................

Hey! Yep I took Belvedere bus and it was perfectly fine. It was a bit tricky to find the ticket office but I was able to pay 2800 rwandese francs for the trip.

They leave every hour on the half hour in the mornings (i.e. 9:30am, 10:30am, 11:30am, etc.)
