Hello

I have a few question for you regarding our 3-week trip to Namibia:

So far I have organized trip from Windhoek to Etosha (incl. accommodation in the park) and the accommodation near Sossuvlei.

After we leave Etosha, we have 12 days to get to Sossuvlei. What do you suggest we do in those 12 days ? Of course I want to see the Skeleton Coast, see the seals and check out Swakopmund, but perhaps I am missing something? How long would you stay at each place? Where is a good place to stay on…

Hi,

Has anyone been to the Mangetti Game Reserve? Is it worth stopping there on the way up from Etosha to Caprivi?

Any feedback will be greatly received?

Thanks

Hi again

I am going to drive from Windhoek to Chobe National Park so wanted to see if anyone could suggest a good place to stop for one night on the way, ideally about half way.

Also, can anyone tell me how far it is to drive to chobe national park from windhoek?

Thanks

I am arranging 2-3 weeks in Namibia in May with some photographer friends. We do not have a set itinerary yet but our wish list includes Etosha, Skeleton Coast, Fish River Canyon, Sossusvlei, Kalahari.

The focus of our trip is photography and we are looking for any photographers, artists, writers, or those in the tourism industry who are interested in accompanying us.

We have a guide that we have had previous experience with who will make all the arrangements for us.

If you are interested…

Hi everybody ,
we are a couple looking for companions to make a trip in the riverbeds Opuwo-Orupembe-Purros-Ongongo-Palmwag in the first half of September 2011,
the road seems pretty difficult so the more we are...the easier it becomes!!!

Thank you all,

Hi Everyone, I'm will be in Windhoek in late June for a week and would love to see the Skeleton Coast along with the sand dunes of soussusvlei. My biggest two problems are that I'm on a tight budget and am I collage girl traveling alone. I will be staying at the Chameleon Backpacker Lodge, which I heard I great and has trips but they are out of my budget, I'm looking for something around 200-300 US. Any suggestions?

Hi All

Just looking for some advice from those who have travelled to Namibia.

Firstly, myself and my fiance will be travelling to Namibia in late July for about 3 weeks.

I have a rough itinerary in my head which goes something like this:

Arrive in Windhoek - spend 2 nights here and rent car.

Drive to Sossusvlei and spend 2/3 nights here. From there then drive up to Swakopmund for 2 nights (visiting Walvis Bay en route). From there then drive up to Damaraland ( visiting Hentiesbaai en route)…

We are planning a trip to Namibia from 25th March - 9th April. We'll probably want to visit the usual sites (Etosha, Sesriem, Waterberg, Swakopmund...) with rental car and mostly camping and maybe some lodges. Now we are left with 2 questions before booking the flight:

1.) We read some worrying warnings about not stopping on the way from A to B and watching out for violent criminals. How do you feel about the security situation?

2.) How is the weather usually during that period? Will we have…
