We will arrive at Windhoek International Airport and then follow the route: Eningu Clayhouse Lodge - Auob Lodge - Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. As we have to buy water and some supplies for the first days, we really have to stock up for our stay in the Kgalagadi, as we will stay tehre for 4 days with 5 people and experienced before rather empty shops (no bread, vegetables, fruit) in the park. Any advice on:

-where to shop when we arrive - just some water adn cookies etc.

-where to stock up before we enter the Kgalagadi - best to drive to Mariental when we are on our way from Eningu to Auob?

Thanks, Christianne

We found everything we needed at the large Maerua mall, south of Windhoek centre. Several supermarkets, butchers etc etc. You can ask to have meat shrink-wrapped if you want to pack them along in ice boxes.

If you don't want to go into WDH I would stop at Mariental, the SPAR there is pretty big and there is also another supermarket so you should be able to pick up everything you need.
