Just in case the OP is still checking, you can search my ID and find numerous responses with my negative African Trails experience. In case you're still considering them, I would highly recommend a short committment to which you can add time. This way if you do have the crap driver or party truck, you only have a little money as a sunk cost and you can bail out!

Promoting Acacia with a handle of "acaciawildbunch" is a bit of a giveaway, isn't it?
And you've only three posts all doing the same thing.

When you get the address right it's still there!!!
http://overlanding101.com/

I never bother updating it though, there's no real need to change it, it's just dormant in a way.

Ok then - when I get the address right it's still there!!!
Don't know how that happened. Well spotted. I can't say I've been in to my profile for many a year, I wonder if it got changed with all the TT problems there's been.
Anyway, all is fine and dandy, still living in Cairo and maybe, fingers crossed, after another couple of years move to Syria. We'll see.
I presume you still have that thing that looks like a zebra on steroids?

Yes - still got it although it's currently off road awaiting a new cylinder head.

What are you doing in Cairo? Working, Studying?

I am a house husband being fed and watered by an obliging wife who is working here in development.
I spend my time sunbathing, swimming and the occasional heckling from the back on the TT.

Oh yeah, and three kids to look after.

Did that for 3 years in Kenya - gave me loads of time to buy and sell 4x4s, and go on lots of safaris! Wife was with Practical Action then - who's your wife with?
