On the road in a Toyota 4x4 with roof tent - sometimes camping, sometimes lodging.
I've never been camping and was not sure whether I would like sleeping in a tent on the roof of car for 3 weeks at a time: our first night on the dunes in the Kalahari Red Dune Camp was gorgeous. At the end of our trip we agreed that camping is essential to best experience Namibia’s superb natural scenery. Yes, a lodge is comfortable ... but these Namibian outdoor evenings I do not want to miss. There are may fantastic camp grounds and great activities. For me, Namibia offers the most beautiful African landscape.
