I have been having a hard time finding enough information with regards to public transportation from Johannesburg to Windhoek.
So far, I understand that I would have to take a train to Kimberly, then a bus to Upington, and another one to Keetmanshoop, and from there another train to Windhoek.
Unfortunately, some websites are not working, so I haven't been able to double check the information I found on random websites... but it appears that most of those transportation means do not operate every day, and it would therefore be very complicated to do it all at once.
Has anyone ever succeeded in making such a trip happen ?
Or would it make much more sense to go by car ?
As it is now, we are two people who would travel there around April 18th, with a limited budget.
