To all the people who traveled Namibia by road, I hope to cycle from Livingstone to Windhoek (and then onwards to Cape Town via Keetmanshoop and Springbok) this mid-late May and have a couple of questions
1. How are the roads, is it well paved all the way?
2. How far does it get without any towns to restock food and water, on my road map the longest stretch of nothing seems to be between Rungu and Grootfointein through Kavango land around 250km and Kongola to Omega seems pretty desolate as well (180km), I don't know if there is any road side facilities (such as gas station) not marked on the map.
3. How is the weather in May, any seasonal trade winds always blowing a certain direction?
4. Finally any danger or safety measures or is it safe to camp along the way (or should I rather stick to villages than stealth camp?)
Cheers guys!
