I'm glad to hear things worked out for you. Have a great trip to Namibia. It's an awesome place!

As an ex-Trailfinder wonk (sorry, "travel expert"), I too am surprised they allowed this bad publicity to happen. They do monitor internet forums, and are happy to quote glowing tributes in their marketing blurb to staff and clients.
So, there probably is benefit in persistence and publicising your plight. Enjoy your trip

Hi Lucy,
A pity I read this thread a bit late.
We are in exactly the same situation as you.
I also reacted, from the start, AND to Trailfinders AND directly to Air Namibia.
My experience however, is just the other way around. Air Namibia took days before even answerring.
Trailfinders did, call me (in response to my first call) 4 times in one day discussing alternatives with me, offering options.
All in all it took them 1 day to put me on a free BA flight from London to Frankfurt to hook up with the Windhoek flight there.
I must, and I shouldn't if it wasn't the case, take up the plight for Trailfinders here.
At the contrary I haven't got the same kind words for Air Namibia upto now.
I want them to pay back my rebooking cost of train tickets to London (Eurostar) etc....
They refuse.
I keep insisting that I respect their decission of cancelling their London flight but that I refuse to bare any financial/practical consequences from that decission.
But indeed Lucy, holding on, keep on harassing them (direct - mail - phone - advertising on forums)....DOES work apparently.
Which is good! Power to the customers!
