I'll be traveling from the US to Mozambique later this month. The trip is sort of last minute so I'm frantically trying to get everything together as far as visas and shots. For a visa, does anyone have recommendations on getting the visa at the airport vs. getting it from the embassy in advance? Normally I like to get things in advance, but if it really isn't a hassle to get it at the airport, that is probably easier. It will be a single entry visa and I'll be in Mozambique about a week and a half.

For shots, I'm reading different information as to whether I need a yellow fever vaccine or not, so any guidance on that would be amazing too.

For a US Citizen, a $25 Visa is quite easily obtained upon arrival at Lourenço Marques International Airport. If you are at the end of the line, then filling out and waiting for the visa can take anywhere from 5 to 25 minutes.

This was this case as November 27th, 2009.

A Yellow Fever Vaccines (in the majority of African nations) is required only if you are arriving from other counties where Yellow Fever is endemic.
