Hey guys,

We just went into Mozanbique a week ago from Malawi and before this we heard a lot of different prices. But we can say that from Malawi it is 6700 Malawi Kwacha (around 40 USD) if you get it done in Blantyre.

A tip for people going soon, if you have some US cash it is best to change on the street in Blantyre as the rate is much higher.. 1 US = 167 Malawi Kwacha in bank and on street it is 1 US = 270 Malawi Kwacha so tourist visa only cost 25USD each this way.

You need to drop it off by 12 (Dont accept it any later) and then you pick it up at 2pm..

Of memory the visa place is in Livingstone Av but ask around. But 100% sure it is in Blantyre, not what some Lonely Planet tells you.

From here you choose two borders to go into Mozambique but each around 1-2 hour drive depending on which sort of transport.
