Hey guys
A friend and myself will be traveling through Mozam by motorbike.
We will enter through the Kosi border and exit through Komatipoort.
Can anybody recommend a nic ebeach camp or 2 along the route where we can stay?
I like the thought of going to some beach camps along the coast of the Elephant reserve but being on a bike I think access will be restricted?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
At Kosi Bay on the SA side there is Kosi Bay Lodge, but there is other accomodation in Manguzi. In the Ponto do Oura/Malongane area there is plenty accomodation (Tanje Beach, Campismo Ninho Malongane, Ponta Milibangalala) , so I suggest just take it day by day. The road is deep sand, so if you on bikes, be prepared for pushing. You cross the Harbour neat Catembe to Maputo. In Maputo you can stay at Fatimas Back Packers. If you have time, go up to Marracuene and cross the ferry there over the Komati River to Macaneta. You can stay at Macaneta, Tan n Biki or Jays Beach Lodge. From Maputo back to Komati there is nothing on the EN4. Hope this helps!
