Hi everyone, since the post on Tofo were quite old, i recently travelled there on my own for about a week. The village is absolutely awesome. There is good surf and good diving and heaps of places to stay. I stayed at Casa Azul, right on the beach, just below Casa Berry. It was good, more expensive than others backpackers place but i had my private room with seaview, and an amazing veranda to chill out. Others options are: fatima, bamboozi or turtle cove more backpackers oriented.
Have a great time in tofo.

Thanks for this update cholo!

I was there (Tofo, at Fatimas) 4 and a half years ago and it was not overly developed but I worried that a bunch of concrete hotel complexes would spring up, as south african investment pushed further up the coast. I know its a very subjective question to ask, but how developed / touristy was it to you? Did it still have a lovely rustic / natural / laid back charm to you? Hope so, as planning to drive along the Moz coast this year. and stop at Tofo.

Any other places you loved in Mozambique?
