Hi Everyone! I am looking to do a desert tour in Morocco in the upcoming months. I have researched a couple different options for service companies and have reviewed various options. Right now, I am leaning towards doing the Luxury Desert Camp option. As I have started to plan, I have also thought about the activities involved and what to pack. I'll be in Morocco from 16th to 23th november. I'll meet a LP-buddy in Chefchouen and hike with him to Akchour. From there I would like to travel to Oued El Kannar. I noticed there is a Gite D'etappe there, because I want to do some hiking in the cascades. But I cannot find a website nor a way to travel there. Somebody here perhaps with some experience or suggestions?

me and a friend just bought tickets, we are travelling to Tangier and then back from Fes.

Could you give some general ideas regarding the itinerary? For the moment, experiencing the desert is a must, and we would almost certainly rent a car to move around. I've just started researching into the country, the sights, etc., and I will read the forums, but some guidelines would be helpful, just to start.

I'm arriving in Marrakech on 5th December for 10 days and planning on spending 4 nights giving me time to immerse myself in the city and possibly take a trek to the Atlas Mountains.
I have to be back in Marrakech on the morning of 15th for a flight.

Iam travelling in Morocco and am currently in Marrakech. I would like to do the Mgoun traverse trek that is described in the Morocco lp. As I didn't originally plan to go trekking in morocco I haven't bought my hiking gear with me, so in order to do the trek I need to hire a tent, sleeping bags, and camp stove. I would also like to purchase a decent map of the area. Does anybody know where or if it is possible to hire trekking gear in Marrakech or close to the trail head?

A friend and I are going to be doing an overnight trip into Erg Chebbi from Merzouga on the night of December 23rd. Her time is a little tight so we were hoping that we would be able to get to Tinghir and the Todra Gorge early enough in the day to hike it before dark (around 5:30PM that time of year). I've seen there is a Supratours bus leaving Merzouga at 7:30AM and our tour operator said we could leave early and make it if we really wanted but I was wondering if there are any other options…

Hello everyone! We are relaxing in Tinghir and ready to continue our travels. Looking for road condition information on three roads: #1 road from Tamtattouchte to Dades Gorge #2 road from Tazzarine to just south of Zagora #3 Taouz to Tagounite (south of Zagora) we know we will need a guide for this one.
