Hi there,

My girlfriend and I are going to morocco next week for 12 days. We're flying in/out of Casablanca. We were thinking of heading rapidly to Ouarzazate (either fly down or train to Marrakesh then bus or rent a car) check out the area then head back up. The inital plan was to also go to the coast (somewhere between Essaouira and Agadir) but if we do not have enough time we'd rather focus on the south.

So from Ouarzazate we were thinking of renting a car (if not already done) and going…

Sahara

Hello
I will be going with my wife and kids aged 10 and 7 to Morocco in January and need some advise regarding the Sahara section of our trip. We have ample time, love to travel independently and aim to have a unique experience, including some camel trekking and star gazing. What itinerary do you recommend to see the best of both the Dades and the Draa valleys, including visiting the dunes.
Thanks very much

Hi All

Myself and the Mrs are looking at escaping the Netherlands at the end of the month for some Moroccan sunshine and Atlantic waves.

Our best flights have us going in and out of Casablanca, but we're more interested in seeing El Jadida and especially Essaouria. It's a long way to drive, which we don't mind, but only have five nights, so we want to maximize our time in and around Essouria.

We're tossing a couple ideas around: heading to El Jadida after land for a night, then down to…

Hey guys, im landing in marrakech in the start of june, and have around 4 weeks to travel the country before im flying home (Denmark) from Rabat. Looking for some awesome people to meet up with/travel with.

A little bit about myself - I am a 22 year old male from Denmark - I'm studying techical engineering - and that sounds boring, but I do my best not to be ;) im rebellious by nature, a lover of all food and love to play basketball.

Im interested in seeing Morocco because of the people…

Hello,
anybody here know cheap accomodation in Boulmane des Dades below 20 Euro ? I look for a place in the centre of town for good bus connections to other places. My plan is to make a daytrip from Boulmane to Msemrir (50km up the Dades Gorge). Is there a place where I can rent a scooter / moped in Boulmane for the daytrip to Msemrir ? From Asia I am used to rent a scooter to have independent transport (but I have no driving license). Or is it possible to use public transport from Boulmane to…

Hi All,

Will be in Marrakesh in a few days. Planning on taking a couple of guided tours, one day to Essaouria, one night two day trip to Imlil for high atlas mountains, and desert trip. Does anybosy have a rough idea of how much I should be paying for these trips, I am just trying to get an idea of what a fair price would be, so I wont get ripped off.

Also is there a way to negotiate a lower price for desert trip if I am dropping off at Merzouga?

Any ideas on how I can work these trips out…

We consider travelling in Morocco in the second half of September. What kind of incidents may be expected anticipating the elections on Ocober 7? I'm not worried for "normal risks", as the chance of getting involved is neglectibale compared to traffic risks. I guess what can be expected are some demonstrations, extra police but not a high probability of bomb attacks, right?
By the way, we think of visiting Marrakech, High Atlas, Ait Benhaddou, Todra, Merzouga and closing the loop.

Thanks for…

Hi all,

Last year my girlfriend and I made a wonderful trip in Cuba. Before we went, we gathered invaluable advice through these forums and we hope you can help us with some tips and tricks again.

I am organizing our 10-trip to Morocco (early October). Unfortunately, we are unable to extend our stay so we're forced to make some choices as to what to see and what to skip. Because this is out first trip to Africa and Morocco, I though LP's Essential Itinerary might be a good place to start. The…

Hey Thorntree, I have done quite a bit of poking around on here. Any posts I found about traveling in Morocco while pregnant were from 2012. While I imagine it's mostly the same, I wanted to check in. We'll be in Morocco for 9 days. This is our belated honeymoon and I'm early in my pregnancy - about 14 weeks and feeling good.

We are flying into and out of Casa. We land early in the AM and plan to take a train to Marakesh right away.
4 days in Marakesh
3 days in Essouira
Back to Casa for the…
