Hi,
After a recent visit to Morocco I've been looking into returning for a year or two to teach. I have seven years of experience teaching secondary school in Canada - science and phys. ed. Any tips on where to start looking for teaching opportunities - I'd prefer to stay out of Casa and other large cities but the only info I can find on the web is in those towns. Ideally, I'd like to find something on the coast. I don't speak Arabic but I'm fluent in French.

Thanks,
Sarah

Apply--what have you got to lose?

Agadir - University

Good luck! I'm sure science would be wanted.

I'm sure hero2003 can answer these questions better--why not send him a PM?

i will likely apply but I'm looking for contact schools or information about the education system in general. I've heard mixed reports.

Thanks for the advice, I'll pm hero.

Contact alifbaa, an American woman who often posts in this forum. And contact the university in Ifrane.

There are American Schools in Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, Marrakesh and a school connected to Ifrane university that teaches in English. The big French schools bring in teachers from France.

A friend just landed in Agadir last may and secured a teaching position in a private school for August without much difficulty. There was some criticism about Moroccans preferring foreigners for teaching french.
