1. would like to rent a grand taxi in fes, for getting to meknes, volubilis and moulay idriss for one whole day. how much does it cost?
2. how's the temperature in desert at night, we'll stay in a tent in merzouga, how cold would it be in early september?

1-There is no fixed price to do that ,it depends on the will of the driver and how busy it is ,700 DH is a good offer.You may find less.
2-Temperature at night is between 55 and 70 F,in early morning it may drop to 45 F.

I have camped in that area in late September...and was chilly, even in my sleeping bag. But it was hot during the day.

I just got back from the desert. The temp drops to around 17 to 20c at night. The day temps are in the high 40C The tour group that takes you into the desert will provide you with a blanket / sheet. Also a tent is provided for the group. I slept in the sand dunes the first day but it got cold around 1.00am so i got inside the tent and slept in the sleeping bag; The 2nd day in the desert I slept the entire night outside in the sand dunes but I had to go inside the sleeping bag around 1.00am because of the wind/Cold; it picks up sand so the best bet is sleep inside the tent or inside a sleeping bag;
