Can you recommend me a cheap hostel? If you know a cheap hostel with friendly people.
I will arrive at 22:00 in the airport. Do you know if it is possible to take the bus number 16 from the airport to the city?

I was in Fes in August 2015. I highly recommend Funky Fes. It is a very nice hostel, and it's really nice to have a relaxing place to escape from the commotion of Fes. I always stay at the Hotel Cascade. It's cheap, right in the heart of the action and has the best terrace for viewing the hustle and bustle around the Bab Boujloud below.
If you're on a real tight budget you can sleep up on the terrace for even less money, which in the heat of the summer is a real treat and the best place to be.
This place has a long history of catering to budget travellers (possibly all the way back to the Hippy Trail days), and continues to be one of the best places to meet other folk visiting Fez.
A word of warning about many of the cheaper hotels/hostels in Fes. They're often a big draw for scamsters and faux guides who will hang around looking for their next target. Not an issue if you're confident about saying no a couple of times and having a laugh about it, but they are very good at spotting a greenhorn from a thousand paces and pretending to be real friendly and chummy......then giving you the hard sell.
