I have a week arriving in Marrakesh in Mid-Feb. Could anyone tell me of a good place to cycle to from Marrakesh and back again in the one day that would take in some nice surroundings?

I am thinking of either spending a couple of nights in Imlil or doing a couple of day tours from Marrakesh. Would staying in Imlil and doing a couple of walks there be worth it or would I be better doing a few organized trips from Marrakesh

Thank you for the advice

I can't answer your cycling question. Internet searches may offer some suggestions. There's certainly cycling around Imlil.

I found Imlil a delightful place. It's lovely just to chill there for half a day or so, and there are plenty of opportunities to do local walks from there - it's a well-known base for such activities. There are decent accommodation options, so there's no need to keep travelling from/to Marrakesh.

If I went back to Imlil for this reason, I would wait till I got there before making arrangements. There's likely to be more local knowledge there, and I suspect you may pay lower prices (if, say, you needed a guide) than you would if everything were booked from Marrakesh. There may be organised walking options, or you can just wander yourself.

Awesome thank you very much for such a great reply. I think I will visit Imlil and hopefully be able to organize a short walk or cycle from there.
