I am really wanting to find some out of the way and off the beaten path routes in Morocco. Im going to be in Morocco in August and would also like to find some good camel trekking opportunities as well even though I have been told it is somewhat hot. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...! K

travel down eastern side of country from oujda, bouarfa to figuig, beautiful, isolated spot- no tourists, only 2 'hotels', 1km from algeria
camels- erfoud onto merzouga, but more populated with tourists
Dunno that area but #1's sounds like a good idea. Try the south/anti Atlas/Jebel Sarhro. The N12 is still pretty much off the tourist track. You get local dosshouses rather than hotels. But some are OK. There are two modern hotels at Tata. The town is surrounded by amazing fortified villages.
If you started in the east at Oujda, you could take the N12 from Rissani via N'kob on to Zagora then by piste from there to Foum Zguid where you're back on the main road. (Sounds like my next trip... )
