We have the idea to visit Morocco in October for between 10 days and 3 weeks.
It would be the first trip with our little son, 1 year by then.

We would appreciate any advice on travelling with a 1-year old kid and also any suggestions if Morocco in October would be a good choice and which places would be the best to visit.

October is my favorite month to visit Morocco. As for places to visit, read one of the guidebooks (Lonely Plant's or Rough Guide's for example) and see what appeals to you. The "standard" favorites are Marrakech and/or Fes, Merzouga and/or Zagora, the Dades and/or Todra Gorges, Essaouria, and various others, depending on personal choice. Some of us think Tangier and Casablanca are not worth visiting, but as with everything, there are various opinions.
I assume your child has had all his childhood immunizations. Consider Hepit. A & B shots for all of you.
Moroccans love kids!

If you're visiting this October, your trip might coincide just a little with Ramadan. The second half of October definitely will not.

I don't see any problem visiting with a one year old, but like Marocfan said, Hep A & B vaccines are important. You can buy baby food in the supermarkets here (as well as formula if you need it), and in many pharmacies.

I think the best places to visit with a child would be Marrakech, Fez, the desert prhaps. Depends on how intrepid you are. I seriously suggest having one of those baby backpacks though - strollers are nearly impossible in most places.
