Hi there,
I plan to travel around Morocco, coming across from Spain by boat, for 10 days or so at the start of 2008 (middle of winter).
Unfortunately I have absolutely NO experience travelling around North Africa, so I'm unsure about how long it takes to get around & what can be covered in such a short period of time.
Does anyone have some suggestions about possible itineraries? I would have to start and finish up in the North.
Cheers!

Traveling by trains and grand taxis are fast. Buses are slow and take longer than the predicted time. Get a guidebook, and figure out what interests you. THEN plan your itinerary, and come back here and ask us for details. Cheers!

Morocco has a reliable and inexpensive rail network but only as far south as Marrakech. You can plan trips to most major cities between Tangier and Marrakech reliably just by using the information on the ONCF website. Details are only in French but it's easy to use and get the required information. There is also Supratours coach service which operates countrywide and goes further than Marrakech. It may help to be more specific and give details of where you would like to go.
There are numerous websites which will give details of all major cities but if in difficulty, get in touch with me.
