Moped in Morocco on an Irish Provisional Licence

Yes you can hire mopeds/motorcycles in Agadir or Marrakech from what I saw. Memory tells me...provisional licences aren't compatible with any insurance you might be offered in Morocco, some of these hire places might look-the-other-way, if there's an incident what happens next.? and 23 y.o sounds right for hiring cars. Hiring 125cc bike 18 o.y seems to satisfy these guys in Agadir which is most likely where you arrive.

The minimum age for driving in Morocco is 18 although hire car companies generally expect you to be 25 and with at least two years of driving experience. Below this you may have to pay extra.

We're hoping to get something more like 50cc mopeds. Both our licences are for cars. Not sure how the laws might work in Marrakesh.

Unless you are currently using and experienced using mopeds/motorcycles, Morocco isn't the place to start learning.

Small 50cc mopeds are used by kids as well as adults all over Morocco, none seem to have number-plates, I assume they aren't registered, whether the kids have a licence, or old enough to have one I don't know.
