Hi, heading back to Morocco for a month this summer - end of August, start of September. Just a couple of questions.

I know it's gonna be hot, last time I was here was July, and I just about managed....anyway

1. Should I bother with a sleeping bag, even for the mountains?

2. Is it silly to contemplate Merzouga or any of the desert spots at this time of year (say early September)?

Thanks!

I went early September ... spent a night in the dunes outside Merzouga; whilst I needed the blanket I was offered overnight, it was hot by 9am ... you should survive!!!

I have camped in the desert near Merzouga in September--and needed a sleeping bag at night. During the day I about croaked from the heat. Be prepared.
