Getting to Chefchaouen from Casablanca

Hi all,

I've read a lot about getting from Casablanca to Chef by training to Tangier and then either taking a bus to Chef or a Grand taxi. I am leaning towards taking a grand taxi since we can take our time and not have to stress about making the 12:00 bus.

Will it be hard to negotiate a grand taxi if I'm not fluent in french? Also, is it possible to take a grand taxi all the way to chef or will we have to change taxi in Tetouan?
