The flights from Germany, Italy and France that connect to mine all seem to arrive at this late hour. I have been thinking of that, sharing a taxi.
On the other hand, considering that a taxi is more expensive than the train, that I won't be able to buy my ticket to Meknes at night and that I might have to stay at a hotel much more expensive than planned just to be in a safe easily reachable area rather than near Hassan Ii, I am now thinking about flying on Royal Air Maroc which takes much less time, goes directly and arrive around 7pm if I recall correctly.
But I read here that RAM is " sure to be delayed" , is that true? Are they that unreliable compared to other airlines?

Take and fly with RAM, I do it all the time when I fly not only to Morocco but to West Africa also and I have only good experience. It was never delayed, when I flew and I flew with them at least 10 times if not more often. If I only was lucky or, I don't know, but it was good flight every time.

...... RAM like all airlines may from time to time be delayed for a myriad of reasons, the RAM flights I enjoyed don't stand-out as being unduly different or more delayed then others.

On taxis, trains etc., from the Airport these links might inform you....

To mention, after a certain time in the evening taxi fares are charged at a "night rate".!

If you're travelling by train you should be OK over Eid but the trains can be very busy BEFORE Eid. Bu the second day is usually OK. Basically, it's not Germany or Italy and you have to take Morocco as it comes. Personally, I don't like arriving anywhere late and would pay more and arrive earlier!

Quite obviously Morocco is not Germany but what exactly is it?
I find all this vague alluding to things one is expected to know before one ever goes there rather unhelpful. Like ' traveling during Eid is a challenge ; Morocco is not Germany; I would rather pay more and..." Would you guys please elaborate on what you are hinting at?
You would rather pay more and do what exactly to get there earlier?
What exactly is the difference in train traffic between Europe and Morocco?
I arranged it so I have only one train to get on before Eid : the two hour trip from Casablanca to Meknes. I read on the schedule that there is a train every 30 minutes from morning til evening. It must be possible to find one free seat on one of them?
I also changed my flight to RAM so I arrive at dinner time instead of after midnight. How long is the ticket office open at the airport train station so that I can make a reservation for the next day?
Surely even if all the seats are sold out there must be some standing space too?
Is it like India where people battle each other trying to climb in through the windows because the doors are jammed with passengers sitting everywhere on the floor , in the overhead luggage shelves and on the stairs packed like sardines or is it better than that?

We are vague? Dinnertime is vague!

There will be trains every half an hour into Casa Voyageurs when you arrive until quite late and you will be able to book a seat at the main station. Travel first class. It's not expensive and will be less crowded probably. Moroccan trains are very much like European services. If you reserve a seat, it is yours; it's not a free-for-all. No one is hanging out the window.

I asked about getting a seat on the train to Meknes, I have solved the problem of how to get into town from the airport by choosing a different airline which arrives when the trains are still running.
So what you are saying is that they sell train tickets for the next day til 23.30 h at the airport?
Ok so now you say, Morocxan trains are like European while before you made a point of saying, Morocco is not like Europe.
I am as confused as ever.
Obviously dinner time is vague and purposely so, as my exact whereabouts during my trip are unnecessary to state and really nobody's business on the Internet.

...... reading the schedules for the routes mentioned above....... from the Airport to the City, only one train an hour and not every hour.! Journey time to Meknes is almost 3.5 hours not 2.. with 14 trains over a 16 hour period .. Inshalla.!
And what does Inshalla mean..... when shit happens, Allah is invoked.... often.!
The fact trains don't run every hour is a clue to it might not run every other hour, when you ask about train times in Morocco...... you'll be told a time with Inshalla as a proviso, Inshalla.

Hopefully it won't be as bad an experience as this ballad tells..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qc88f1DNsao

Train from airport to Casa Voyageurs apart from early morning so then it go each hour.
To Meknes almost each hour also and it take about 3 hours. You can buy ticket in advance and not only for the next day but even one week in advance or so.
And, I went more times both by train or bus and I can say that never I had any problem or delays.

P.S. I think morocotraveller that now you have drunk much Berber or Irish whiskey LOL
