My husband and I are planning a trip to Marrakech in early March (possibly May) Wondering if anyone has any favorite day trips from Marrakech? We are slightly more comfortable with guided tours / services as it's our first time in North Africa. We are open to all kinds of activities, just would like to know the best experiences. Links would be great for the tours! :) Thanks!

Rent a car and drive to the Ourika river for a relaxed scenery. On the right day, you can combine it with the weekly market in Asni. Nice Atlas views underway. This makes a very relaxed day-tour, no need for a guide.
Enjoy your preparations!
Cheers, Herman

...... for short trips near the City consider using the City-bus ALSA, some of the routes are quite long going into the mountains and the Agafa Desert, a great low cost and a daily-Moroccan-life experience.

Also you can go to Ouzoud waterfall, about 160 km from Marrakech, as overnight trip.

We travel because we need to. Because the distance and difference are the secret tonics to the creativity. When we get home, home is still the same, but something in our minds has changed, and that changes everything.
