Hello,
I have a scheduled flight from Casa to Marrakech, (instead of taking a 4 hour train ride) and I'm just curious if there will be more local Moroccans on the plane and if the same general rule applies for women sitting next to women...or if it's a mix of tourists? Obviously everyone has their assigned seat, but just curious if there's anything to think about in terms of local customs even on the plane.
Thank you!
K

last time i took it was mostly tourist. a lot of french. No local customs on air moroc. If your luggage shows up that will be the amazing part
Men and women can sit next to each other, there is no segregation on public transport. It's decorum that matters. In fact, one young woman on a bus dropped her head on my shoulder uninvited (I am male) and had a little nap. Let's say, I don't think this was usual by Moroccan standards. I was also once asked if I wouldn't mind changing places on a country because a guy obviously didn't like me sitting next to his wife. Meaning if people feel there's a problem, they generally will let you know.

It will be a mix and certainly there are no local customs to worry about. I have never had a luggage problem on Royal Air Maroc, either in NYC-Casa flights or local flights in Casa. British Airways is a different story, however.

Yeah British Airways lost our luggage too. Luckily, it was on the was home. We finally got it. We our also flying from Fez to Marrakech, via Casa. I have faith Royal Air Maroc, will not lose our luggage.

I have had luggage lost twice by royal maroc. one time for a day the 2nd for 5 days. I just expect it at this point. maybe I will have better luck this august

Moroccans sit gender-mixed on all public transport (personally, I always sit near an old man if there are no women to sit with), and honestly, most Moroccans who can afford a flight from Casa to Marrakech aren't the type that would care about that sort of thing.
You can probably even buy alcohol on the plane, given that RAM trans-atlantic flights have free wine and beer.
