i'm looking for a nice hostel with singlerooms in Fes & Marrakech, as onlinebooking i find only expensive once or i have to pay for a doubleroom? all helps are more than welcome. maximum 20Euro

hi, i went to marrakech with my sister in march, we stayed in a really nice riad called Riad J'Bel Lakhdar, think it was 22 euro a night, but well well worth it! its run by two brothers, Mahjoub and Jamal, Mahjoub speaks very good english, he spent quite a few years living in america.. Jamal speaks french also, so its very easy to communicate, and the riad is amazing when you get inside...everyone is so lovely there... the staff are absolutely fantastic, and very sweet. i would give the riad a 5 star rating!!! if you can, book with them. They are so helpful and make you feel completely welcome and above all very safe. And its only a five minute walk from the main square of J'maa el Fna.

Most of the cheap hotels don't book in advance. You have to be there in the morning when rooms are vacating and get one. They fill up fast. In Fes, check Pension Batha or Pension Campini. There are a few hotels around the gate at Bab Boujloud, too, that rent rooms starting around 100 dirhams per night with shared facilities. The youth hostel in Fes Ville Nouvelle will kick you out if a group comes along and needs the space.
