Hi there,

I am planning a 4 week trip to Morocco and need some help. As I am working in the building trade, I can only take time off in the winter months, so my question is: What would be better, November or Feb/ March time? We plan to fly in and out of Fez or Marrakech (thanks to Ryanair) and apart from these two cities, would like to see Tanger and Meknes, and plan to travel down south of the Atlas and end up for a few days at the end in a relaxed place by the sea where you can get a drink. Any suggestions of where to go and what to see (given the limited time) are gratefully received. Also, we travel on a budget (a rather tight budget, basically we need to do it as cheaply as poss). How much to budget for a double ensuite and for meals and drinks? How much for overland travel on public transport, and what is the best way to cover long distances?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Ginco

With the entire itinerary taken into account, I'd say November. The past two Novembers have been relatively warm, whereas this March was freezing, and last March was not all that nice.

I guess I would pick March...too bad you can't travel in October, which usually is great weather in Morocco. But this March, I too got cold visiting Essaouria and Marrakech. Who knows about the weather? You can check average/record temperatures for various Moroccan cities by going to Yahoo.com, weather, Africa, Morocco.

The weather in March normally is good. But , in the last couple of years it was cold. but who knows about it next year?
