Myself and my girlfriend wish to go to Morocco for 8 days and don't know how best to split up the trip.
We definitely want to do 3 days in Marrakesh then are unsure whether to do 4-5 in the Atlas or 2 days in Atlas and 2-3 days in Essouaria.

we would rather spend less time on the road and have a most romantic trip with good opportunities to relax, massage and great scenery...although happy to hike in the Atlas Mts

any recommendations on what best to do - please advise?
How to travel around?
places to stay
things to do etc

would be appreciated

...... it's always important to know when you'll be in Morocco.? .... assuming you fly into Marakech, have you an option to depart a different airport.?

While in Marrakech, the City-bus service ALSA have some long routes into mountain villages like Amizmiz or the stony hamada desert at Agafa.

Why don't you read a guidebook first ?
It's not difficult to spend eight days in and around Marrakech but depending when you will be there, you will able to choose the places you want to visit. Shared taxis and/or buses are the best way of travel in this part of the country.
