Hi,
I'll spend a long weekend in Morocco in September, flying to Casablanca and returning from Marrakech; flying with the new low cost Clickair.
First of all I would like to know how should I spend my time: 2 Days Casablanca and 3 Days Marrakech? or the opposite?
I've heard about a good train from Casablanca to Marrakech.. is it the best option? how long it takes? where can I get timetable information?
I need a hotel recommendation in Casablanca, close to the interesting places...
Finally, I've recently visited Israel. Will the Israel stamp in my Spanish passport cause me any truble?
Regards, David

I'd make it 0 in Casablanca and 5 in Marrakesh. Casablanca is a big, ugly, dirty city. If you take 5 for Marrakesh you could always spend two somewhere on the coast nearby.
The Israeli passport stamp is not a problem for Morocco.

Agreed with #1 & 2.. give Casa a miss.. Marrakesh is much better... take a trip out to the waterfalls and for a hike in the gorge, you will need a driver to get there...you dont need a guide when youre there ...simply follow the river, when you want to get back... turn around! You can take a swim in the pools there, fantastic in the middle of a north African day I can tell ya
Simply sitting overlooking the Djeema sipping mint tea and tucking into tasty tagines is worth a day on its own!
Enjoy!!

I just got back from Morocco. I also agree - there is much more to do and see in Casa. Marrakech is much, much, more interesting. You may wish to change your flight and instead do things around Marrakech (e.g. Essaouira, a visit to Imlil, etc).
Supposedly there used to be an overnight train, but according to friends who tried to take it, this has been eliminated. I think the train leaves Casa around 5 pm and arrives around midnight. I am sure there are many other times during the day.

Fez can be reached by train in about 6-7 hours... good for a day or two... the market (for which you REALLY need a guide) is amazing. It also has the biggest mosque in North Africa...be sure not to book your hotel beside the minaret...Im telling you from experience... that alarm call at 5 in the morning can get a bit tedious!!
