In August it will be hot so it would be best to keep you near the coast.

Or really go to the mountains of the High Atlas like the Mgoun area (which is not so far away).

In the Ait Bouguemez valley in the High Atlas, there are mountain villages, hikes and excellent 'gites' (food and accomodation).

You can also go to Azrou and stay there a couple of days. There is cedar forest and you can look at wild monkeys which would like your children, I think.

You really need to get a guide book and map and do some basic research of your own, making lists of things that interest YOU (we don't know what these might be). Then come back with any specific questions.

Absolutely, we've been to Morocco driving from Gambia north to Marrakesh and spent time in the oureka valley
summers are hot in the coastal areas south so we wanted to hike the middle atlas and explore the souks and other cultural , historical areas of interest as a family of course teens always want a bit more adventure !
