Hi,
We're flying to Madagascar (currently in Malawi, overlanding through Tanzania and Kenya then to Madagascar) for the dates above. We had thought about doing a tour but they're very expensive and we're having trouble finding one for the rough dates we're there. Does anyone know of a trip going for around those dates?
It seems that hiring a car and driver might be the way to go in Madagascar - does anyone have any recommendations? How much can we expect to pay (roughly) per day - we had an idea…
My boyfriend and I are around 30 and ready for an adventure in Madagascar. We'll be traveling there for 15 days in late October-early November. We feel a little overwhelmed by the size of the country and how many things we would like to do and see, so we were hoping to get some advice on our itinerary. We both like hiking, wildlife viewing, natural beauties, etc. Although we'd like to see as much as possible, we don't want to spend the entire trip in transit. We were hoping to hire a driver…
Hello,
I wish to know if a saloon or sadan car is possible to use in Mendatia National Park to reach treking point in the park. If not what are other options and what is the charge for same.
Hi,
I'm going to be travelling with my friends on Madagascar on a tight budget. We want to sleep in tent not only in NP but also on the road in villiges etc. I've heard that on Madagascar is not usual to sleep in the tent and that it is hard to explain to locals. Is it true? Is there anybody who has experience with sleeping in tent on Madagascar? Can you give me some advice?
Thank you!
I want to do this route. Can I go from here? And what airlines would do this? Cost?
We have just returned from a 26 day tour of this intriguing island - we only managed to visit the southern half - but we had a great time and can highly recommend our tour operator, Asisten Travel (100% Malagasy). They were helpful, responded very quickly to emails, handled all the bookings successfully and supplied good vehicles and drivers. Our tour covered Andasibe, Morondava and the tsingy, Tulear with Ifaty and Isalo, Fort Dauphin and a drive north up the east coast to Manakara, then…
Hi there,
I will be in Madagascar alone from October 8 to 13th.
I have no plans yet, becuase it a very last minute travel.
Anyone with the same/similar dates who wants to team up?
Any recommendations / sugestions for organising the trip together or to team up with your plan is absolutely fine.
Cheers
Howdy all.
I am visiting Madagascar in about three weeks and I want to spend a few days snorkeling; however, it seems there are lots of options. Anyone have opinions about where the best snorkeling is?
Other suggestions for things to do/see are, of course, welcome.

Are there duty free shops? If so do they accept Ariary or VISA?
Thanks
