For those of you planning your itinerary in Madagascar and wanting to go on the Fianar - Manakara train ride, please note that its schedule has changed. The train only takes passengers / tourists on Tuesday and Saturday (if I'm correct) and no longer on Thursday. I believe that is so since June 2014, but we recently missed the ride because of that. Please check before planning.
