I am flying to Maroantsetra at the beginning of Novermber for 7 days.

Among many other things I would realy love the chance to see some fringing coral reefs, maybe mangroves, try and see sea turtles and sharks. Are there dugons and whale sharks around here also as I love to try and see these aswell!

What sealife did you see around here? Where was good swimming and healthy coral reefs?

Many thank

You will see some amazing ocean life. You will just miss the whale season, but you'll be sure to see rays and beautiful fish galore. I recommend staying at/near Tompolodge- it is surrounded by a protected ocean area, so the sea life is much more intact. If you want a local's perception, stop in the village of Ambanizana and ask for Behasy Remy or "Be". He's a fantastic local guide (not much english- a little french and lots of gasy!) and will take you out in a pirogue for a unique experience.
