Hi,

I had hastily arranged a trip to Madagascar and upon landing in Antananarivo international airport, I called up Location Parany (locationparany@yahoo.fr), which contact details I found in the French edition of the Lonely Planet. In less than 2 hours, I was all set-up for a 4-day tour along RN7 down to Tulear.

I can hardly recommend enough this tour company. Mr Parany proved to be one of the best driver-cum-guide I have ever had in my multiple trips around the world. We had passionate discussions about the economy, politics and the culture of Madagascar (you will need to speak French though) and nothing was never enough for Mr Parany to please me, from driving me to the best rice terraces around the village of Ambavalao (after I explained to him about Banaue in Philippines) to taking me for dinner after a long day of driving (even though I insisted I could take a cab).

Glad you had a good trip. How much did he charge? Did you take four days to Tulear or was it there and back? Are you a native French speaker?
