hi

we will be landing in tana tomorrow, and then doing the rn7 to tulear, anyone else around and planning on doing the same thing?

we have a small budget and will be mainly be travelling by taxibrousse, but good company is always great...

on a side note, as anyone heard of anymore rescent problems of robbery on the rn7? must amit that i am a little nervous about this...

This are Malagasy legends about this robbers - be careful only for pick-pockets.

I travelled solo up and down this road twice and felt totally safe, just watch out when you stop for breaks and children crowd around you trying to sell things, i had to stop a boy trying to pickpocket me but i had nothing there.
Good luck if you're attempting the trip all in one go (my 21 hour journey back to Tana wasn't nice) -try to get the seats just behind the driver as they have the most leg room!
